“I’m very much in favour of the establishment of the air ambulance service – Air Ambulance Ireland. It’s a great move in the right direction and a great benefit to people in rural Ireland. It’s something that is really needed especially for people, who are involved in accidents or suffer a stroke and are 50 to 60 miles from the nearest hospital. It can mean the difference between life and death for these people. I think it should get strong support from everybody and I am totally behind it and enthusiastically endorse it.
